Q. Coming off the win in Saudi last week, it's never easy backing straight up; 5-under par 67. Birdies at the final three holes. You must be pretty pleased.
PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I'm actually very pleased with my round today. Feel like I was running out gas towards the back nine, but hung in there and really just focusing on one shot at a time.
Q. You are one of 11 Thai players in the field this week. Discuss the pride you feel and what it means to you playing on home soil.
PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, I feel so proud to finally say there are more than ten Thai players playing this week. I'm so proud to represent my country, and it's a good feeling to have a fellow Thai players play alongside you.
Q. You're a major champion and Rookie of the Year three years ago. Before the win last week it wasn't all rosy, but those difficult times, does it make you appreciate the success and your life as a professional golfer just a little bit more?
PATTY TAVATANAKIT: Yeah, a lot more. I feel like it humbled me down a lot those past couple years, and if it weren't for those time I wouldn't be standing right here right now. I'm grateful for every moment of it.
