Q. ...three par-5s but also five birdies on the par-4s. What were you happiest with?
EMILY KRISTINE PEDERSEN: I think my ball striking today. I mean my iron play was a lot better than it was yesterday. I was struggling a little bit with a left miss.
But today I hit a lot of good numbers and, yeah, holed the putts.
Q. You finished sixth last week on the Ladies European Tour, so no doubt quite a bit of confidence coming in here.
EMILY KRISTINE PEDERSEN: Yeah, I think my game feels solid, and I'm just trying to build, trying to put myself in contentions, and hopefully I don't have to chase too many from Patty for tomorrow, but I'm happy to be in this position.
Q. On that note of chasing Patty, she is obviously playing terrific golf at the moment. Is it intimidating seeing her name get further and further away, or does it spur you on to keep the foot on the gas?
EMILY KRISTINE PEDERSEN: I want to keep the foot on the gas. I played with her on Sunday in that final round in Saudi and she just played unbelievable that day, but I do believe I can play like that myself and hopefully I can do that tomorrow.
Q. You have been communicating quite a bit in recent times with Danish golf legend Thomas Bjorn. How exactly is he helping you?
EMILY KRISTINE PEDERSEN: Mostly sharing his experiences from when he played. We've talked a lot about the mental side of my game and being too hard on myself and looking look you I've given up even though I'm not.
I'm trying to work on keeping a good attitude and being my best friend out there instead of just knocking myself down.
