Q. All right, Brooke, six straight pars and then a birdie on the par-5 seventh. Overall how are you doing after today's round?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, it was kind of a slow start again, so hopefully tomorrow get off to a little bit quicker one, make some birdies early.
It was nice to finish the way I did. I guess four birdies on the back nine is really nice. I feel like I'm doing a lot of good things this week. Maybe not seeing all the results that I want to be seeing, but I am definitely in a good spot and hopefully just make a climb tomorrow.
Q. Take me through the first birdie on No. 7. A lot of people have been trying to take advantage of that.
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, the tees were up today so it was easily reachable. Hit it in two. Actually lipped it for eagle, so I was happy to get the birdie though and get the round started under par.
Q. You say you have been seeing a lot of good things recently. What are some of the best things you think your game has brought you this week?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, giving myself a lot of good opportunities, hitting a lot of fairways, greens. Maybe not making all the putts out there, but definitely doing lots of good things.
You know, hitting it the way I want to, so I think we're close to being really good. Hopefully tomorrow will be a special day.
Q. You talk about the last four holes being memorable one for you. What was the strategy as you attacked the last couple holes coming in?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, was able to birdie the drivable hole, the Aon hole, 15 today, which was really nice. Dropped a shot on 16 and rebounded and got two birdies coming in, 17 and 18.
It makes the round feel a lot nicer, especially when you finish with a birdie. Hopefully just carry the momentum and start with a couple birdies tomorrow.
Q. That Aon hole, what makes that a perfect risk-reward hole?
BROOKE HENDERSON: It can be a really tough hole if you hit it in the wrong spots. You kind of have to be smart with your strategy and your club choice, where you are hitting it when the tee is back and also when it's up.
I think you have to think your way around it a little bit. You have to hit quality shots especially when the pin is on the back tier like it was today.
Q. This is one of those courses where anything is possible on the final day. We've seen that the last couple years here. What do you do between now and when you tee off tomorrow to reset, keep the energy going?
BROOKE HENDERSON: Yeah, you know, it's really hot here, too, so it's really important to get the right amount of rest and recover after the round. So hopefully get some really good food tonight and good rest going into tomorrow, and maybe not as far under par as I would like but I am doing the right things. I'm seeing good results.
I think I got to keep going and hopefully things will turn my way.
