Q. Alongside Sarah, who just won a very hard-fought match. You guys, no one had total command of this match. What was the key for you today? Was there a key hole or maybe that last putt on 18?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: Yeah, just staying really patient. I made a really good par save on 13 and got one back after I was kind of falling back a little bit. Lost a couple holes in a row.
So just staying patient. I knew I was playing well. Allisen played amazing today, so I just tried to stay in and focus on hitting a great shot and see where it went really.
Q. Big birdie at 17 gave that you 1-up lead. How difficult is it to play with a fellow American, fellow Solheim Cup teammate?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: We had a blast from the first hole. We were chitchatting the whole time. I'm really close friends with Jay as well, her caddie. The four of us got along great. Obviously knew Allisen would be a tough match today. She's stellar in match play and as a player in general.

Q. We were talking yesterday about the fact you really don't have an extensive background with match play. How much did the Solheim Cup experience and your success in the Solheim Cup maybe help with today and your prospects of what you could do?
SARAH SCHMELZEL: Yeah, definitely. Before Solheim I really hadn't had much match play experience besides playing in this event. Didn't play much amateur or anything like that. Being able to go to Solheim and hit shots under pressure, make shots when I needed to just gave me a huge (video cut out) overall in my game, but definitely in this format.
