Q. Kelly, a solid opening round. Obviously 4-under 67. By my calculations, that's your second lowest round. (Indiscernible) Take us through what made it a good day for you.
KELLY TAN: Well, I think first of all it was a really good ball striking day and I gave myself a lot of chances on the greens. Made five birdies and took care of the par-5s.
And, yeah, just was really fun out there today and like the chances that I had.
Q. Birdies at 1, 3, 4, 15, and 16; 15 is the Aon Risk Reward hole. What was your game plan of attack today?
KELLY TAN: Yeah, we were actually borderline wanting to for it today, but then we felt like with how hard it's playing and just how fast the green -- we just didn't think we could stay on the green, and we just choose to lay up and know that we can stick it tight and make the putt; and we did.
Q. How fast are the greens out there? Seem like they're quite different.
KELLY TAN: Yeah, I would say now that I'm done they're probably -- I can be wrong -- but probably running at 13, maybe 12.
But it's definitely faster than what I thought. There are a lot of putts where I thought I hit a good putt and will be a foot to two over the hole, and I end up having like three or four-footers the first few holes, and I kind of made a little adjustment throughout the round.
But, yeah, they're running real fast and through.
Q. Excitement for a solid start and how you plan to continue that with an early tee time tomorrow.
KELLY TAN: Yeah, I think tomorrow is going to be a little different condition. I think -- I'm not sure. With being 7:15 out in the morning it will be a little chilly and I would think the green would be a little more receptive.
Yeah, I'm just excited to be out early, get the fresh greens, and have a lot of fun out there with my caddie.
Q. Will the fresh greens and maybe a little cooler temperatures allow for even lower scoring for you?
KELLY TAN: You know, I would like to think that. (Laughter.) I'm definitely just excited to be out there. I mean, just whatever we get.
I'm sure we'll be able to make that little adjustment. Know the ball is not going to go as far, but the green is going to hold a little more for us. I think it kind of it balances out.
Q. You've played here several times. What's one thing you've taken away from your experiences to help you feel confident this week?
KELLY TAN: I think this golf course comes down to a lot of giving yourself chances on the green, which you need to have a good ball striking week, because it's just a lot of subtlety off the course. On the fairway little slopes here and there and little run outs on the greens, which if you have a good ball striking day it could all (indiscernible) towards the hole, that's how I look at it. And, yeah, let's hope for a good ball striking week.
