Q. Some family friends?
KATHERINE KIRK: Pro-am partners, yeah. And then my godson and his parents and obviously Tom.
Q. Just coming out to watch.
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah, we had a blast on Wednesday. They, yeah, decided to stick around for a couple extra days and watch some golf. They were awesome. Yeah, they were cheering pretty hard, which we haven't heard in a long time, so it was great.
Q. Refreshing, I bet.
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah.
Q. Birdies at 2, 5, and 15 today.
KATHERINE KIRK: Yep.
Q. Any particular one of those stand out a little more in helping get to 2-under?
KATHERINE KIRK: 5 was a good birdie because it was attacking. We always like those. But, no, it was pretty solid all day. I feel like I actually left a few out there coming in. I missed a five-footer on 6 and didn't birdie 7 and bogeyed 8, so could have been a lot better.
But I'm not too -- I'm not -- what's the word? I'm not dejected. I'm a little disappointed but not dejected.
Q. I would imagine they move up 15 over the weekend and make it a little more gettable.
KATHERINE KIRK: Maybe. And 18 actually could be moved up as well.
Q. 18, uh-huh.
KATHERINE KIRK: So if that's going to happen it might be tomorrow which is going to be fun. You'll definitely see some girls reach that.
Q. Does that change the whole landscape of the finish?
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah. It's kind of weird I guess to have a reachable par-4 to finish. Like I said, if they are going to do it it'll be tomorrow and not Sunday. That'd be too weird Sunday.
But, yeah, keeps it interesting. I think, yeah, if we're going to try and grow the game and get more fans we got to get creative like that.
Q. Yeah. How important is tomorrow? You've stayed steady the first couple days. The course is playing completely different. Scores aren't nearly how they've been in the past. How important is a day like tomorrow to continue to stay steady and right there in the mix?
KATHERINE KIRK: Yeah, you're exactly right. It's totally different this year. I don't think I've ever seen it this dry and firm and fast.
But, yeah, I mean, I feel like I'm playing well, so just kind of the same game plan and be patient. You're going to make mistakes out there and there are some pins you just cannot get to no matter what, so it's about playing smart and giving yourself chances.
