Q. Nice finish at the 2021 Pure Silk Championship. 2-under 69. Currently in solo fifth with only a couple holes to play for the leaders. Top 5 it looks like.
WICHANEE MEECHAI: Yeah.
Q. Take us through the week. Strung together three rounds in the 60s and had a great showing.
WICHANEE MEECHAI: Yeah, I have to admit, today like I'm so exciting, so nervous. You can see my score like bogey, bogey on the first two holes. But I try to come back. Like I try to not like think about the result.
So I think it worked for me.
Q. From years past, how did you adapt to the kind of different conditions that this course presented this week?
WICHANEE MEECHAI: I think my ball was slow so maybe I have more advantage for running the ball. So maybe I have a shorter club to play so I can hit it close and make the putt. I think that's the big part for me.
Q. A lot of Thai players up near the top of the leaderboard. Pornanong with the 4-under today. Yourself, Moriya, Pajaree. Does this course resemble any Thai courses?
WICHANEE MEECHAI: I think it's because the weather. It's pretty hot so we get used to hot. So maybe we comfortable to play here more than cold, I think, yeah.
Q. It's like a 60- degree day to us northerners.
WICHANEE MEECHAI: Yeah.
Q. You aren't in the field next week for the match play but you're in the U.S. Open field.
WICHANEE MEECHAI: Yeah.
Q. How will you take the next week to prepare for this event?
WICHANEE MEECHAI: I'm just going to do the same thing. Maybe more meditate with my putter and more work on my swing more. Yeah, just try to practice a lot before the Open. Yeah.
Q. Is there any part of your swing or of your game that you are looking to get sharper?
WICHANEE MEECHAI: Yeah, I talk with Chris Mason, he's my coach, a lot about my swing. I tried to, you know, work on my swing a lot and just be brave out there and play the shot. Yeah.
