Q. We're joined by Matilda Castren after a 3-under 68 on moving day at the Volunteers of America Classic. Matilda, four birdies on the card, only one blemish at No. 5. Have to feel pretty solid about the performance today.
MATILDA CASTREN: Honestly, my ball striking wasn't my best today, but I managed to just grind through the day. And birdie on 17 was nice. We had to run a little bit on 18 but we got it done, and that's the thing I'm most happy about today.
Q. When you say your ball striking wasn't as good as you want it but you're still only one shot behind the lead and in the final grouping tomorrow, does that make you excited for what you could accomplish?
MATILDA CASTREN: Yeah, definitely feels good to still be up there with not-so-great day. I felt a little uncomfortable with my driver today. I didn't hit as many fairways as I would've hoped.
But like I said, I still managed to grind through it and make some up and downs and pars from the rough.
Q. You recently won, as we all know. How much of that experience will you draw on tomorrow in the final grouping?
MATILDA CASTREN: Yeah, it's great to have that experience. I mean, this morning I knew what it was going to be like playing in the final group, being in the lead, so that experience definitely helps for tomorrow.
I know I'll be a little bit more relaxed and hopefully do the same as MEDIHEAL on Sunday.
