Q. Lexi, good finish, two birdies in the last three holes. Difficult conditions today. Changed a little bit in wind direction; firmed out. How do you assess your day?
LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, it definitely got windier I would say. As we made the turn I would say there was a few holes that really gusted up there. You know you're going to get that on this golf course, so really committing to the lines and playing smart off the tees and playing for that bounce-out.
Q. It's been said that you're playing your way into form. Maybe playing a little more frequently as of late, and certainly good golf has followed. How would you assess your recent play?
LEXI THOMPSON: Yeah, it's definitely gotten a lot better. I've been working hard the whole year. It's just been a matter of time and putting in the productive work that's needed, and to see it pay off truly means a lot. I'm going to continue to work hard.
And playing at Solheim, representing my country, I kind of live for that, so playing good there and building off that meant the world to me.
Q. How do you see what has changed over the last couple weeks, months in your game? Where has the work paid off?
LEXI THOMPSON: Probably just my ball striking. My ball striking really faltered kind of in the beginning of the year, and just tightened up a few of the things in my golf swing that were needed.
To see that hard work pay off, and it's definitely telling in my scores, so just going to continue to build off that and see where it takes me.
