Q. All right, joined now by Celine Boutier. 6-under through your first two hounds here at Old American Golf Club. How would you assess your first two rounds?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think I've been pretty steady. I didn't feel like I made a ton of birdies, but I feel like I didn't make too many mistakes.
I feel like yesterday definitely had a lot of opportunities and wasn't able to convert as much. I feel like today was kind of the opposite.
I didn't get that many chances on my front nine. Kind of really very steady, and then on the back any time I kind of had chance I really was able to convert.
That made a huge difference, and pretty happy overall with my first two rounds.
Q. You mentioned it, not a lot of scoring opportunities. We've seen not a lot of low scores. What have been some of the keys to taking advantage of the scoring opportunities when they're presented?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think you just have to be smart about strategy. I feel like some pins and holes definitely you can be aggressive, but then a lot of them you know with the pin positions can be really tricky. So you definitely have to be able to hit it on the right parts of the green, even sometimes miss on the right side, know that you don't have to like, you know, be aggressive all the time.
Because I feel like sometimes it definitely can be a lot harder if you miss on the wrong side.
Q. You're a member here at Old American. Do you feel any sense of home-course advantage? How does the course play to your strengths?
Replacename: Yeah, definitely. I feel like I know a few members here that I play with and they're definitely out there supporting me. I try to play as much as I can, which is not that often, but I feel like I'm getting to know the course more every time. Even now I still like learned some things that I need to be cautious about.
So I feel like it's a great course. You have to be a very good ball-striker out here. I feel like especially when the wind starts to pick up like it is right now, you definitely have to be smart about your strategy.
Q. And then just one quick one about Solheim. How would you put into words what that week was to you and to retain the Cup for the third straight time?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, it was definitely very fun to be able to play another Solheim on European soil. I feel like I definitely missed it. The atmosphere was incredible and the team was even better.
I just feel like personally wasn't the best golfing week for me, but I just feel like to be able to share it with my great teammates and to be able to witness what they did, especially at the end, the final few holes, was just incredible.
Just very happy and grateful to have been a part of the team this year.
Q. Last one: You won three times on this tour this year; major champion winner. Before the season started, did you envision yourself having this type of year?
CELINE BOUTIER: Definitely No. I definitely feel like I also had a slow start to the season and wasn't able to find my game until a little bit later than I would've wanted.
But I feel like I had a lot of, you know, chances last year. I feel like I was very steady and put myself in a lot of contention a lot of weeks, and I wasn't able to get the wins.
So this year I feel like to have been able to win three times have definitely been very good for my confidence and my mental health.
