Q. All right, here with Andrea Lee after her final round here at the LPGA MEDIHEAL Championship. Just take us through your round today. Another bogey-free, mistake-free day; just not as many birdies as maybe you had hoped. Take us through the round and how much you enjoyed playing in that final grouping today.
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it is really fun. They're both great players, and I was five strokes back at the beginning of the day so I knew it would take something special to catch up to Jodi.
I stayed patient. Played solid golf again. Hit a lot of fairways, a lot of greens, and made a lot of pars. It was a little frustrating I couldn't get more putts to drop.
Overall I'm pleased with how I played today and just this week in general.
Q. It's another great finish for you on top of a great year. Can you just take a minute and give us some perspective on your year, especially going into the last couple events and how happy are you to have played well here?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it's been a crazy year for sure. I'm just glad I was able to come back to California and play some really good golf. Another top 10 finish, like I did at Palos Verdes. So I feel like it's come kind of full circle since then.
Just so happy with how I've played this season, and hopefully I can finish strong going into Korea and then the last couple in Florida.
Q. And being home, sort of close to home here this week, how much more special does that make this finish here?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, definitely really special. I had a lot of people come out yesterday and a few today, but just really nice to have that support from friends and family.
Yeah, I wish we could come and play in California more often. But, yeah, it's definitely been a fun week, and just happy with the result.
Q. Just wanted to ask about like the level of play on the LPGA and how it's gotten better and better over the years, so much so that there are so many first-time winners. Do you like that, that it could be anybody any given week, or would you prefer there to be like a measuring stick out there, like I know that person is going to...
ANDREA LEE: Well, I mean, we do have the top 10 players in the world obviously, but I believe any girl out here can -- or sorry, woman -- can win out here on the LPGA Tour.
You know, everyone is just really exceptional and I think anyone can win on any given week. I think Jodi is our tenth first-time winner this year, which is crazy. Just shows how competitive the LPGA is becoming and it's not just the cream of the crop always winning all the time.
So, yeah, just shows how strong I think we're all get ting and how competitive it is out here.
Q. Explain to people like how good the level of play is here. You all hit it so far. I mean the level is just incredible, right?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I think just all of us are just so accurate. Women are so accurate. We all hit fairways, a lot of greens, and great short games out here, too.
So, yeah, I mean, super competitive. I think we all push each other to do our best and push each other to the next level. I think that's what the LPGA is all about.
Q. And considering that, it's always got to be so special to be in a final group. Obviously you got a win; got some Top 10s this year. When you have weeks like this, does it mean even more considering just like the level of play all around you, the competition?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, definitely. I know it was a pretty strong field this week, so to have another good result under my belt feels really good. It's just another learning opportunity for me to get better, keep putting myself in contention.
