Q. Okay, here with Sofia after her first round at the Meijer. Just talk about how it went for you out there today. Several birdies looks like on the scorecard.
SOFIA GARCIA: Yeah, definitely that helps. I only make one bogey on 17. That's kind of a tough hole. Like I'm not going to be surprised if we get some high stats on that hole because of how it's set up.
I had a couple bad -- I was in bad positions first couple holes and was able to make some really good pars that really got my round going.
Struggled a little bit with my putter. That wasn't the case today. I was feeling good with it and on speed and reading the putts correctly.
There were a couple that I think were a little bit lucky, but that was one of those days and I'm glad I took advantage of those today.
Q. Touch a little bit more on 17, the setup like you said, how it's a little funky maybe?
SOFIA GARCIA: It's starting to blow a little bit so that hole makes it longer, it's a tight fairway, the pin is in the back. Even if you have a good driver, still it's a hard pin to hit in. I think might have a mid-iron, long iron.
So definitely it's playing a little bit harder just because of how it's set up. I am happy that I just came out with a bogey; could have been worse. So just took the bogey and made a birdie on 18. That helped the numbers.
Q. Can you talk about I see your fairways are a little lower. You obviously still had like a great score today. Were you scrambling a lot out there? Do you think that's easier to do on this course?
SOFIA GARCIA: I don't know about that. We had just that conversation with my playing partner, the low stats. I didn't think I was hitting the driver very badly. I was in bad positions at some point and got some lucky breaks in the sense of where it was sitting in the rough.
I was hitting my irons well. Having a little bit of control with that I was able to read the rough, because I was there a lot today. Kind of didn't get in too much trouble second shots and obviously made the putts so that helped.
