Q. All right, here with Minjee Lee after her first round at the Meijer LPGA Classic. 5-under today. Looking like one of the best scores out here. What felt good for you today?
MINJEE LEE: Yeah, I mean I started on the back nine and turned in 4-under, so it's always nice to get off to a good start. Yeah, birdied 11 and 12 so it was just nice to get some momentum going for the rest of the day.
Q. Anything you were working on in preparation for this event? Next week is KPMG. Some players are using this week to prepare and get ready. Is that how you're feeling?
MINJEE LEE: Not really. I took a week off after U.S. Open and I was practicing a little bit, and it's nice to just have a couple events that you can feed off momentum-wise.
So, no, I mean, I'm trying to do my very best here as well as next week; it's a major. So a lot of important weeks coming up as well.
Yeah, it would be nice to get a good result here first.
Q. Besides making birdies, when you're playing well what's the keys?
MINJEE LEE: I think probably missing it in the right places. Obviously the rough is up I think in comparison to the other years that I've played out here, so I think I probably missed them in the right places in the rough. Like if the pin was on the right side I was missing on the left side so I had a little bit of room to work with.
Yeah, I think just your misses, and obviously when you're playing well your putting is I guess a big deal, so it's nice if your putting is working well.
Q. Did you have any par saves that kept your round going?
MINJEE LEE: Yes, somewhere I think the 17 hole I got up and down and also the 16th hole.
So it was like on my front nine so it was nice to keep nice momentum through there as well.
