Q. Okay, here with Andrea Lee after her first round at the Meijer LPGA Classic. Solid round, especially that 17 and 18. Back to back birdie, eagle. Talk your round today.
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, it was a solid round overall. I really wasn't expecting anything coming into today because I had a pretty bad cold last week and I'm still getting over it.
I withdrew from the pro-am yesterday; didn't even practice. So had no expectations, but just had a lot of fun out there. Just played really solid golf, hit some good shots, made decent amount of putts. Yeah, overall really satisfied.
Q. And then can you talk about 17 and 18 a little bit?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, 17 was playing pretty tough today just with the wind direction. It was a little into, off the left. That hole slopes left to right. There is bunker that is like a 225 carry. Yeah, it was tough.
I thought I put it in the middle of the fairway. Ended up right center and had to deal with that big tree on the right.
But it was a nice kind of cut lie and I knew I had to slice it around pretty good, so I did just that and ended up to like two, three feet and made birdie.
And then 18 obviously a gettable par-5. Hit a good drive and then hit a really good 3-wood. Striped it up the center of the green and it bounced to the right. Feel like it maybe took a peek at the hole. Ended up three feet and made eagle there.
So that was a nice finish to my front nine.
Q. Obviously next week, too, we have KPMG coming up. How are seeing rounds like this helping get ready for a major week? Obviously this week is important in itself, but in preparation?
ANDREA LEE: Yeah, I feel like it's always for me personally, I like to get rounds under my belt especially before a major. So I am just kind of slowly getting back into it and getting my body into it.
Yeah, it's nice to see low rounds for sure. Gives me a lot of confidence. I feel like I've been trending in the right direction this season. Have had pretty good finishes in the last couple months.
So hopefully another good one this week, and just hopefully helps me prepare for next week at KPMG.
