Q. All right, here with Caley McGinty after the first round at the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give. Talk about how things were going. 5-under 67 first round. How were things going after the first 18 holes?
CALEY McGINTY: No, I was really happy. Would've definitely taken it at the start of the day. Made a couple good putts coming in. Hit it pretty good. I'm really happy.
Q. Talk about last week; made your first cut; shot a 65; this week a 66. How nice was it to see that first low round out here on the LPGA?
CALEY McGINTY: It was such a relief. I think last week just gave me a lot of confidence. I think missing my first couple cuts felt like I had no momentum. Last week I felt like I kind of turned it around a little bit, so it's nice to come into a week and not have the pressure of feeling like I have to make a cut because I haven't made one yet.
It's different. It's good.
Q. Hit 16 greens out there today. Would you say the irons are one of the strongest points out there?
CALEY McGINTY: Yeah, when I play well I think I don't miss many greens, and I feel like I finally got my swing now in a place where I feel like I can go and not have to think too much. I think that's definitely helping.
Q. What kind of momentum does this give you heading into tomorrow? Late tee time heading into an early tee time tomorrow; do you prefer that?
CALEY McGINTY: I do. I think it's less time to think. I have my friend caddieing again this week, so we're just going to get some dinner and have an early night and wake up early tomorrow.
