Q. Okay, here with Celine Boutier after her second round at the Meijer LPGA Classic. Just another solid round today. How would you talk through your round?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, very satisfied with my round. I feel like I made a lot of birdies, few bogeys as well, but I was able to handle the wind quite well today and was able to make a few putts, which really helped me out.
Q. How would you compare the conditions out there today from yesterday?
CELINE BOUTIER: Maybe more windy today; a little bit gusty as well. I think the wind direction was the same so it wasn't like too different, but I definitely feel like today you had to take into account the wind a little bit more.
Even putting and stuff, sometimes you have to back out a little bit because it was kind of gusty. But didn't play too different.
Q. And just to get an idea of how this course is, how do you think you are able to get birdies out here? Is it hitting it close? Fairways with them being tight? What helps get birdies out here?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think you have to hit a lot of fairways. It's very penalizing when you're on the rough because it's quite thick, and then you have no control over the carry or like the roll-out distance.
I think the more you can hit fairways the better, and take advantage of the par-5s as much as possible. I think once you hit the fairway you kind of have -- most of them you have a good chance of reaching them in two, so I think that's quite helpful.
Overall definitely puts a premium on the tee shots.
Q. Obviously this week is important, but next week we are also going to the KPMG, another major. Just what were you seeing in your game that's trending that you're looking forward to having refined for next week as well?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I think overall for the past few weeks my game has been pretty solid. I just feel like it's coming together kind of slowly, so hopefully a few good results here and there will help me build some momentum.
And especially with next week being a major in Dallas where I live, I feel like I definitely want to put on a good performance, so I feel like a good finish this week will help me get more confidence and hopefully some momentum going into next week.
Q. Have you played PGA Frisco?
CELINE BOUTIER: I have once, yes.
Q. How do you like it?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think it's going to be quite a challenge. It can play quite long. When I played it was really windy, it was blowing like 25, so I think like it was kind of challenging. I think it's going to be a great test, it's going to be fair. It'll be hot, too, so I don't know.
Q. All the afternoon players still have to go out. To be able to walk off the course at the top of the leaderboard knowing you're going to be in great shape halfway through, how does that help the mindset?
CELINE BOUTIER: Yeah, I mean, it's very nice to be in this position, but I also feel like there is still so much golf left. It's good to get off to a good start, but I also know a lot can happen still.
I'm just trying to focus on tomorrow's round and just try to put another solid round and see for the rest of the weekend.
Q. We've seen the scores get to 20 before. Is it going to take that kind of effort to win this?
CELINE BOUTIER: I think it depends a lot on the weather conditions over the weekend. I feel like if it stays like today I don't think it's going go as low just because it's -- it can be quite challenging just keeping it in the fairway and just having control over the iron shots as well because the greens are quite firm.
So I think it will depend a lot on the weather conditions, but I feel like if you're striking it well you can also get a lot of birdie opportunities, even like I said especially with the par-5s because most of them are reachable. It's going to depend a lot on the wind.
