Q. Nothing like closing with a birdie there on the last hole. Brittany Lincicome, take me through what this day was like?
BRITTANY LINCICOME: You need to talk to Brittany Lang because she did everything today. She made every putt --
BRITTANY LANG: That's not accurate at all.
BRITTANY LINCICOME: I had no stress all day. That was the only birdie I made all day. We're glad alternate shot is out of the way. We shot under par which is what we were trying to do, and tomorrow hopefully we go out and shoot 59.
Q. Langer, what did you learn from alternate-shot the first day helped you this round as well?
BRITTANY LANG: We did so great. Alternate shot is very hard. I feel like Brit and I, we just are on the same wavelength so it's easy for us, but there's still a lot of stress. We just -- we really played great, and to shoot 2-under both days alternate-shot is amazing.
Best ball we can go out and be free and make a bunch of birdies.
Q. Anything is possible with that best ball kind of format. Is that what you're excited for tomorrow, to kind of pick up where you left off yesterday?
BRITTANY LINCICOME: Yeah, absolutely. Two balls in play, two looks at birdie on every hole, and I think you're less afraid to mess up then when it's not alternate-shot. So we'll be a little bit more free tomorrow, and hopefully we'll just start rolling them in.
Q. Langer, how much fun was it walking up the 18th here? We don't get this at a lot of tournaments and it really does feel like a Solheim Cup environment.
BRITTANY LANG: Yeah, you know, it has been great. It's been a long year for me and I needed this so bad. To play with Brittany, I've learned a lot. I feel like I need to kind of switch my mentality more aggressively and like just -- at Evian next week, I've learned a lot, but just to have fun on the golf course again because I have not had fun in a long time.
BRITTANY LINCICOME: Having all these fans, too. It's so great to hear them cheering for us and rooting us on. We haven't had that in so long, so we can't thank them enough for coming out and supporting.
Q. Langer, what did you learn from Brittany over the past couple days?
BRITTANY LANG: I always learn from Brit. She's so relaxed and simple and she's confident, but I love her game plan. She has an aggressive game plan, and I feel like that's where I lack. I feel like in best ball it really helped me a lot to be confident and aggressive, and I think it'll help me for the rest of the year.
Q. What will you take away from this final day tomorrow? One more day of playing together in this kind of atmosphere. What's the goal or what are you expecting to go out there tomorrow and do?
BRITTANY LINCICOME: Under par obviously would be awesome, but just playing with Brit, like she said, just learning our games again and learning to be more confident, and we've both just -- after having babies and COVID and everything, it just seems like we haven't been able to get our groove back coming back.
So this is going to jump start us. We're staying together next week at Evian, and we'll keep feeding off each other's energy and hopefully go out and have a great day tomorrow.
Q. Langer, you mentioned about taking this momentum and carrying it into Evian. How cool is it to have this fun but still competitive environment a week before a major?
BRITTANY LANG: You know what, it's amazing. This is probably some of the better golf I've played all year. I've really struggled, and it is like a confidence booster. Like I said, we've had fun. I haven't had fun on the golf course in a long time, and going into a major is awesome. Like I'm super excited for it.
