Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Cheyenne Knight and Elizabeth Szokol. Okay. You guys had a really successful moving day. Low round of the day. I don't know if you know that. So far, with a lot more to play. Just what was really working for you guys out there, vibing?

ELIZABETH SZOKOL: We're really good friends, so we've had a ton of fun. I mean, Cheyenne has been striping it all week and gave me so many good looks. We both do AimPoint, and we were helping each other read putts, and I feel like every time we were so in sync.

We had fun. It felt pretty stress-free today, so it got off to a good start. It was really nice.

CHEYENNE KNIGHT: Yeah, Elizabeth finished so well yesterday with three birdies for us to make the cut, and I feel like we're really good friends. We're just really comfortable around each other, and I feel like in alternate shot that's important.

I mean, we both hit a lot of really good shots and Elizabeth putted well. She just didn't really make any mistakes and made a lot of birdies, which was nice in alternate shot.

Q. When which do you prefer, alternate shot or best ball?

ELIZABETH SZOKOL: It doesn't feel like we played 18 holes, which is kind of a nice feeling.

CHEYENNE KNIGHT: Yeah, alternate shot goes by fast.

ELIZABETH SZOKOL: Yeah, it goes by quick. But it does take a little pressure off tomorrow knowing Cheyenne is hitting it so good and going to be in there close. It takes some pressure off.

Today is a little more stressful. I'm used to hitting out of the trees sometimes if it's my own.

CHEYENNE KNIGHT: I think four-ball is fun because you can be a little more aggressive. You know, alternate shot you're just playing a little bit more conservatively, but it was nice that we just both played solid today and had those birdies. Yeah, looking forward to tomorrow.

Q. Is there going to be any sort of strategy change or anything with tomorrow being best ball, and you guys are sitting more towards the top after today?

ELIZABETH SZOKOL: I don't think so. Yesterday we did a really good job. If Cheyenne made a mistake on the tee, I play more conservatively and have her covered and vice versa.

I don't think we birdied any of the same holes, which is awesome.

I think we had a good strategy. Paid a little attention of what each other were doing, but really played our own game and we just had fun. It's such a great event, and we're just enjoying it.

CHEYENNE KNIGHT: For sure. Just try to have two birdie ops every hole, which is nice, and just try not to force it. I feel like that -- just like let it happen and keep having fun. I know, one more day as a team. We don't get to do this a lot as a team, so it's fun.

Q. Great. Thank you both.
