THE MODERATOR: I'm here with Annabelle Pancake and Savannah Grewal. Great round today. As a sponsor invite team, how great is it to be out here at an LPGA event this week?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: I mean, it's an incredible feeling. I know we both were here last year, and it was so much fun. We missed the cut by one, so we were even more determined to come back again this year and make the cut, and we're really proud of ourselves. We're just having a lot of fun and enjoying the moment.
SAVANNAH GREWAL: Super thankful for Dow for this opportunity. It's been a blast, and wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.
THE MODERATOR: I know, Savannah, you won the tournament before last year and invited Annabelle, and was it a given this year when you won?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. When we missed it by one last year, we're, like, we're coming back and making the cut.
THE MODERATOR: That's awesome. Can you guys just speak to how your games have complemented each other the past two days?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: I feel like we almost have identical games. We both hit the same ball flight. Pretty much hit every club the same distance.
So it was really easy to adjust to the alternate shot because it was, like, okay, I would be here normally anyway. I feel like we're very lucky that we're able to compliment each other so well because it's like playing your own ball really.
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: Oh, yeah, the distance definitely helps especially.
THE MODERATOR: Any thought going into tomorrow too after playing yesterday in that format?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: I mean, I think just same game plan, and I think we know we can be out here and compete and just keep doing our thing.
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: Yeah, I think just have fun and enjoy the moment, but also be competitive and know that we belong here, and we're just excited to keep going.
THE MODERATOR: Absolutely. Then you both have had a great summer so far. 2023 ACC Champs. What are you looking forward to most this fall as you return to school?
ANNABELLE PANCAKE: Seeing our teammates. We love them. Our team atmosphere has been so great this year, and obviously we won ACCs, and that makes the team even closer.
Definitely excited to be back with the team and competing for the Tigers again.
SAVANNAH GREWAL: Yeah, we have a lot of fun on the golf course, but I think we have more fun off the golf course just hanging out with each other. So looking forward to that.
