THE MODERATOR: Here with Team Mackelborge consisting of Polly Mack and Celine Borge. Great job again. Another foursomes round under your belt. Wondering, first, if you could tell us maybe what you've learned from the first day of foursomes that you tried to take into this day and how you managed to succeed or not succeed?
POLLY MACK: I mean, we were pretty consistent in the first round. We did a lot of things well. Celine's putter was pretty hot, and I think we pretty much tried to do the same thing as the first round since it was a solid round. Yeah, I mean, that's what we tried to do.
THE MODERATOR: Maybe not as successful as the first day, but still certainly in the chase. You are in third place as of right now. How excited are you then to move back to four-ball? Will you be more aggressive maybe than you were today?
CELINE BORGE: Yeah, it's going to be exciting to get another round tomorrow and do our best and try to score low.
THE MODERATOR: What is sort of the plan, if anything, Celine, for four-ball tomorrow?
CELINE BORGE: Just the same as yesterday. Like, try to hit close to the pin and hole some putts. Yeah, do our best.
THE MODERATOR: Speaking of hitting close to the pin, Polly, I want to talk about this incredible drive on number 12 that drove maybe, what, over 275 right onto the green. First question for Celine: How happy were you with that drive?
CELINE BORGE: It was very good. I was very happy. It was an easy second shot.
THE MODERATOR: Easy putt. How long was that putt? Really close; right?
CELINE BORGE: Four meters?
POLLY MACK: Yeah, like, 12 feet.
THE MODERATOR: Not quite a tap-in, but good; right?
CELINE BORGE: It was a good chance.
THE MODERATOR: A great chance. What were your thoughts for that drive? You were trying to drive the green; correct?
POLLY MACK: Yeah, the wind was kind of in my favor because the pin was further back from yesterday. Yeah, I was 265 meters to the pin, so around 290 yards.
It was just a nice drive. I tried to get that feeling back from yesterday what I did, and it worked really well. It landed perfectly and rolled up there.
THE MODERATOR: One of the largest drivers on our tour as of right now. Where does that sort of strength come from?
POLLY MACK: Pretty much growing up from my swing coach. He helped me early on hitting it far, and he knew that would be an advantage sooner or later on tour. That's pretty much what it is now, so I'm thankful for that.
THE MODERATOR: Celine, that obviously complements your game a lot out here. How happy are you with this partner who can hit like that?
CELINE BORGE: I'm very happy that she hits it far and down the fairway or onto the green.
THE MODERATOR: What are the strengths you bring to the team? I'm sure there are many.
CELINE BORGE: I am normally good on short game, yeah.
POLLY MACK: Can I? Yeah, she's really, really good around the green. It's really easy in a foursome to just make a tap-in after a chip.
She has a really good touch, especially when you saw that putt on 18 from so far away, and it's just a tap-in again. It makes it so easy to me.
So she's just really great around the green and very consistent, and I love that.
THE MODERATOR: Questions?
Q. We're doing a little walk-up music, and obviously: "Return of the Mack" is what you went with. I'm curious, take me behind the decision-making process. How hard did you have to recruit her to say, hey, look, this is our song? What was the process of coming up with the decision on that song?
POLLY MACK: Oh, it was actually "Can't Hold Us" is actually our song. Right? That's --
THE MODERATOR: Yes.
POLLY MACK: Sorry, I was confused for a second.
Q. I was quoting the lyrics of "Can't Hold Us." Obviously, Mackelmore.
POLLY MACK: "Return of the Mack" in the lyrics.
Q. How long have you liked the song, and why did you choose the song to be your walk-up song?
POLLY MACK: It's a classic song, and everybody knows it, and I think everybody gets it when we have our team name being Mackelborge.
It just fits really well. And "Can't Hold Us," I think that kind of means that we're unstoppable for tomorrow, so I think we can do some great things tomorrow too.
THE MODERATOR: Thank you, ladies.
