NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN:
NICOLE BROCH ESTRUP: .
THE MODERATOR: Here with Nicole and Nanna after their second round of the Dow Championship. 60 today. Talk a little bit about how you guys bounced off each other a little bit.
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: It was a lot of fun. It was really fun playing with Nicole. We were really good at contributing to different holes. It was really fun.
NICOLE BROCH ESTRUP: We just had a good vibe going. Nanna holed a chip early on on 3, the par-5, to get an eagle, and we just -- apart from No. 2 when Nanna hit it really close, then I made like a 10-footer for birdie, and she was like, oh, we shouldn't do this, we shouldn't make birdie on the same hole, and I'm like, just chill. From there, we kind of -- yeah, we did really well in not birdieing the same holes. Obviously we had one bogey, which was not ideal, but --
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: We held our head very high.
NICOLE BROCH ESTRUP: We came back strong with two birdies.
Q. Best round of the day so far, in case you didn't know. How do you think you guys -- was there any moment today where you're like, wow, I'm having so much fun, just seeing each other, talking to each other? I know you're playing your own ball, but was there any moment today that you're like, this is --
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I just really like how you can take pressure off each other, so it's a lot more fun hitting all the shots out there because you're not -- there's not a lot of anxiety out there. Then just high fiving and stuff, it's just a really good vibe out there, and it's a lot of fun.
We always play by ourselves. It's an individual sport. So it's just fun being a team. Also with the caddies, it's kind of a foursome.
NICOLE BROCH ESTRUP: We've known each other since we were probably 13, 14, so to get to do this together, I think it's just -- we know each other so well, so it makes it even more fun.
Q. What's it been like, too, watching each other grow up through golf? I'm sure you have plenty of stories.
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: It's been fun. We've been on the same path. Like we went on the LET together. Nicole started a year ahead of me. Then Nicole got to the LPGA a year ahead of me.
We've just been following each other all the time. It's been kind of sad the last year and a half, Nicole has been playing more on LET, but I always love when we meet at tournaments, and it's a lot of fun. We always stay together. It's nice.
Q. What are you guys looking forward to most about the weekend, kind of going back to foursomes format and seeing what you can do out there?
NICOLE BROCH ESTRUP: To hear our team song tomorrow.
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: Yeah, that'll be fun.
NICOLE BROCH ESTRUP: No, obviously tomorrow is like another day again. Like you're playing alternate shot again, so that'll be completely different golf from today.
But I feel like, as we said yesterday, our game is really similar, so yeah, tomorrow is one of those days where you just -- not just, but if you can have like even par, a couple under, then obviously we have a lot of birdies in us, so yeah, exciting for Sunday probably.
NANNA KOERSTZ MADSEN: I like the alternate shot. It's very relaxing. You just have to hit every second shot.
