Q. I wanted to ask you, you had a lot of birdies today. What was the key to your success today?
AKAYA FURUE: My shot was very good today. Then on 16 I made a very, very long difficult putt, and that kind of lit it up for the next couple holes.
Q. How long was that putt on 16?
AKAYA FURUE: 15 meters.
Q. That had to feel good, feel proud about that?
AKAYA FURUE: Yes.
Q. Is this your first time in this area?
AKAYA FURUE: I played in the Evian Junior a long time ago and don't remember much.
Q. What is your reaction when you come here and see all this beauty around you, to be able to play golf here?
AKAYA FURUE: I love the atmosphere, so that allows me to be able to play good golf, I think.
Q. How challenging is this golf course? How difficult is it, or do you feel it suits your game? You had such a great round today.
AKAYA FURUE: I feel it's a very difficult course because there's so much undulation in the greens, and the fairways are not flat, so even if you hit a good shot, sometimes you might get unlucky. I feel it's very difficult.
Q. What were your expectations coming into this tournament, and how do you feel you have played so far?
AKAYA FURUE: I wanted to come here and play four days for sure, but I'm very happy I played well today and was under par.
