Q. Not every day you get a front row seat to a 61.
DAVID BUHAI: Yeah, it was incredible to say the least. Really was.
Q. What was it like out there? She just seemed cool, calm, collected.
DAVID BUHAI: To be honest, she seemed like really hyper focused. I just stayed out the way. From the first hole she hit a great shot. I think it was like six foot and missed the putt, and she just didn't seem like nothing got her.
Look, we did hit a lot of good spots, 6 did, but it was just incredible. I mean, to me she seemed more focused that she's been all year. It was incredible to watch.
Q. What did you think were some of the key moments or was it just --
DAVID BUHAI: Key moment for me was, or the marquee moment I think was on the 13th hole. Didn't hit a great drive; up against the lip in the bunker, and then managed just to bounce it down the fairway. And then hit an okay wedge shot but it spun off the green and then holed the putt for par.
From there I think just built the momentum, kept the momentum going. And also, I mean, great save on the par-3, on the 5th. Keep the wind in the sails.
From 6, I mean, 6 was an unbelievable tee shot. We were contemplating between 3-hybrid and 3-wood and she said she wants to hit 3-wood, which brought in all the trouble. But, I mean, her targets to land that 3-wood was minute and she hit it, so I was like, Wow. I mean, it was incredible for me, yeah.
Q. Was she talkative during the round? She said you keep her laughing on the course and talked about the friendship. Was she asking for a lot advice or was she just dialed in?
DAVID BUHAI: No, she was dialed in. I just stayed out the way. She really played great. Spoke here and there. Just bit a garbage as I say. I think a lot of time she thinks, Oh, please shut up. It was good. She was so dialed in and focused. Just let her do her thing, yeah.
Q. You been working together how long now?
DAVID BUHAI: Since the beginning of the year.
Q. What's the progression been like from picking up a new bag to a day like today?
DAVID BUHAI: Well, from a personal point of view, I mean, 6's English from the first day I met her to now is incredible. She actually I think gets my jokes now, understands them, which helps.
But, yeah from a professional point of view she just every week made a baby step in the right direction. That's just through all her hard work and dedication. She really puts in the hours. Her coach being in Korea there has been a lot of challenging times for her personally.
Her perseverance is incredible. Just never gives up the fight. We've had rounds where really haven't been on the planet and she manages to shoot level par and it's an incredible feat.
For a round like this today is just the cherry on top of the season so far because all that hard work is finally paying off for her. So, yeah.
Q. One of the best rounds you've seen?
DAVID BUHAI: Oh, yeah by far. I mean, I caddied in a 9-under, but it was just in a small tournament. To do it under this, and every putt looked like it was going to go in. It was incredible. Not one nerve. Speed was just perfect.
I had the best seat in the house and I just kept my mouth shut. I wasn't getting involved because she was that focused. It was just incredible.
