Q. Had a great start today. How would you sort of assess your 2-under overall?
LYDIA KO: Yeah, I just had one bad hole and just a couple loose shots. Other than that, it was pretty solid. Hopefully keep the positives and move on to tomorrow.
Q. Have you got any high hopes for this tournament? Obviously won here before; you know the course well. How you're playing, you think the weekend you can go low?
LYDIA KO: I think you just have to stick to your game. Obviously there has been some lower ones throughout the last couple days, so it shows that there are some birdies out there. So you just trying to make your share of them.
Yeah, you know, there are some tough holes, but then there are holes you can really bring it back as well, so try and take advantage of those.
I think it's meant to rain tomorrow, so obviously the course is going to play a little bit differently because of that. So just I think just kind of play strategically with the conditions that we have.
Q. Do you think your experience will help you in those conditions?
LYDIA KO: I feel like I've played in all sorts of different weather here, rain, winds, hail, sun. Yeah, hopefully that all comes together. I know that I played this course with like very different kind of games. Hitting it much longer that's last few times I played compared to before.
We played in September where it's a little bit softer and cooler as well.
Yeah, I think the course itself has played very different. You're just trying to play with what's given, but playing smart and aggressive is also important.
Q. So it's played different this time?
LYDIA KO: I think the fairways are a little softer than previous years. It might have been just because we're expecting for some pretty warm weather, for it to be baked out.
But it is running out a little bit more than it did earlier in the week. Yeah, I do think the weather plays a huge factor on this golf course. We've had nice weather so far, so hopefully more of that the next couple days.
Hopefully the weatherman is wrong.
