Q. Yeah, no wonder Lauren Coughlin is smiling after this finish. Excellent round; 65. Must've been nice conditions out there, but there were some pretty tough pins. You certainly appeared to navigate those well.
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, no, for sure. With the rain yesterday the greens were pretty soft so I could still feel like I could fire away overall, but still had to pick and chose when.
I've just been hitting the ball extremely well all week, so I -- yesterday and kind of this morning I just didn't really make all that much, and today they started to go in again.
Q. Two eagles out there, but it would be remiss of me to not talk about the one on 18. A lot that can go wrong with that second shot, and we overheard you and your husband, John, talk about that second. Is he taking credit for it, giving you that pep talk?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Probably. No, I mean, I probably wouldn't have done it if I didn't do it yesterday. I mean, I was a little bit further up and a little bit more to the left today. I hit pretty much the same shot yesterday to the back left pin.
So I don't think if I had done it yesterday that I probably would've been like, okay, let's go do it given the circumstances.
Q. Excellent way to finish. Last five seasons on the LPGA Tour you've improved every year. This year has been a stand out. You were third at the Chevron, which is a major championship. The comfort level that you displayed there, how much will that benefit you tomorrow?
LAUREN COUGHLIN: Yeah, I think it's going to help immensely. And the final round at Baltusrol last year as well. Second to last group on Sunday. This will be my first final group on a Sunday.
Yeah, I think everything I've been working on has been leading me to this. My whole team has been helping. So, yeah, I'm just excited.
