Quick Quotes

DAVID HORSEY: Yeah, I didn't play great, to be honest. Didn't hit it in the fairway enough the back nine but holed some nice putts, and that's what you've got to do. At the end of the day it's all about scoring. Yeah, managed to post a good one today.

Q. I think you went something like 41 holes without a bogey.

DAVID HORSEY: Yeah, I did actually. I didn't think about that to start, to be honest, but when I made that bogey I did think, oh, yeah, that is my first one.

But yeah, put it to the back in my mind and birdied the next, and yeah, just sort of cracked on. Sometimes those things are nice to get out of the way, if you like, and you can just get on without any distractions.

Q. You holed some nice putts in there and there was a few smiles of joy and you seemed to be working off each other. Is that right? Is it nice when that happens?

DAVID HORSEY: Yeah, it is. I get on well with Smithy, and yeah, it was nice to sort of see both of us really making plenty of birdies, which is nice. This golf course is quite tricky. There was a bit of breeze out there today, but there's plenty of birdies out there, so hopefully we can continue it tomorrow.

Q. I looked at recent form --

DAVID HORSEY: Not much to talk about.

Q. What's clicked?

DAVID HORSEY: I've been playing all right for a while. The swing is really feeling -- has been feeling great in practice, and it's sometimes hard to sort of take to the course. I have spells where I'll make three, four, five birdies in a row and I'll have other spells where I'll make three or four bogeys. So sort of having the trust and belief in it has really been the difficulty.

Yeah, sort of when I left -- the last few days really and just sort of tried to focus on myself and just keep hitting shots. Less expectations, I suppose, as well, and holing a few putts, like I said.

Q. It's been a while between wins, hasn't it. You're in contention, which is where any professional golfer wants to be.

DAVID HORSEY: Yeah, absolutely. This is the place to be if you like, and to have a chance to win come Sunday is always nice. Go and play golf tomorrow, see what happens, and hopefully can do enough.
