Quick Quotes

Q. Amanda, round of 6-under. As you said, equaled your best-ever on the LPGA. What went right out there today for you?

AMANDA DOHERTY: I was really just trying to stay in the moment today, and I feel like I was just kind of in that mindset starting the day.

I stayed there and I stayed patient. I know it's kind of cliche, but it works. I was hitting the ball well. I made a couple good putts and there were some reachable par-5s, so just kind of came together.

Q. You only dropped one shot on your scorecard today. Lots of birdies out there. What would you say the strongest part of your game was?

AMANDA DOHERTY: I think my driver today off the tee. There is actually quite a few holes you can't hit driver. Yeah, with my tee balls I was putting myself in a good position out there to get in a good spot on the green.

Q. And how have you found the conditions here at Galgorm? Obviously very hot, sunny weather today.

AMANDA DOHERTY: Well, I think the "very hot" is maybe relative to where you're from. This is like pretty -- not pretty hot for summer where I'm from. I thought it was awesome out there. This is like perfect weather for me and the course is in great shape.

Q. Tomorrow what are you looking forward to about playing the other course?

AMANDA DOHERTY: Yeah, you don't often get to play two courses, so it's definitely interesting. Totally new game plan tomorrow. Just trying to stick to the same thing and stay patient and hopefully have a good round.

Q. In terms playing in Northern Ireland, have you ever played over here before?

AMANDA DOHERTY: I've never been to Northern Ireland before. I've never been to Europe before this whole swing coming over to Evian. It's been fun.

Q. Obviously you got on to the LPGA through the Epson Tour last year.

AMANDA DOHERTY: Uh-huh.

Q. How have you found this year playing on the LPGA? You've had really good, consistent results.

AMANDA DOHERTY: It's been awesome. This has been a dream of mine to play on the LPGA, so I'm trying to soak up every minute of it and it's been fun.

Q. What have you learned so far from this year?

AMANDA DOHERTY: I think the biggest thing I've learned is at the end of the day it is just golf, and sticking to your game and what makes you play well and trying not to get too ahead of yourself really.
