Allisen Corpuz

Quick Quotes

Q. Allisen, to get to 10-under overall today on a day where not as many people are shooting low scores, how satisfied are you with the effort?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I'm really happy with today. Played well. Made two bogeys on the back and just was able to kind of pull it together and get one more birdie on the last hole.

So looking forward to tomorrow.

Q. Are you one of those people that has been looking at your name going up the leaderboard or are you trying to stay centered in yourself?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: I like kind of do a mix of both. I think they're very hard to avoid, and I also think I want to eventually be really comfortable seeing my name up there. So just kind of keep looking and, yeah, like try to make may way up.

Q. For you to be able to do so well at this kind of event knowing that tomorrow could be a really good day for you as well, what are you focused on and what do you take from a day like this?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, obviously the tournament is four days, so was really just going into today trying to put myself in a good position for tomorrow.

Yeah, kind of the same thing as yesterday. I still think the par-5s are pretty gettable as long as you're in the right place, so just trying to take advantage of those and just take advantage of the shorter holes and just par the harder ones.

Q. What is it about that course that is really suiting your game the best the last couple days? Starting at Massereene has got to be A-plus for you, being able to get used to Galgorm over the last two days.

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think visually the course sets up nice for me. It's not an extremely long course and I'm not an extremely long hitter, so I think that that helps me a bit.

And, yeah, just been able to hit a few good putts over the past few days.

Q. What do you to stay present, not get ahead of yourself. Do you lean on Jay? Do you lean on your past experiences?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: A little bit of both. Jay obviously has a lot of experience with Jen and with caddieing before me.

Yeah, just kind of trying to stay loose, keep talking to him. I always liked having one or two swing thoughts just focusing on process and taking a good swing instead of the outcomes.

Q. It's been definitely a grind the last couple weeks. These European Swings are go, go, go. What would it mean to come out on top of the European Swing?

ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, it would be really awesome. I think any sort of finish tomorrow, as long as -- I'm going to go out there and play my best, and whatever happens, happens.

But it's obviously like you have life changing to have a win and to say that I won on the LPGA Tour.
