Q. Really solid 4-under today. What did you find on the golf course that was working so well?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: I don't know. It's a tough golf course out here. They definitely moved up a few tees, I think, and that helped, but I think it's honestly just getting more comfortable with this course every day.
Q. You hit 16 of 18 greens today. What was so key for your iron play?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Back to my normal, I guess. Yeah, I haven't been hitting it very well recently. Today is my birthday. I play better on my birthday always, so I guess that helped too.
Q. Well, happy friggin birthday. 4-under is always nice on your birthday. Do you always play golf around that time of year?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Honestly, I don't think I've played since middle of college career on the actual day, but this is a first in a while.
Q. Any big plans to celebrate?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: No. Dinner and sleep.
Q. Nothing wrong with that. Kind of an interesting pairing today. The OG ANWA champion and then the latest ANWA champion. What was it like playing with Anna today?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: She's a pretty good player. Pretty quiet. I tried to talk to her. It's hard to get stuff out of here. She's obviously really shy, but it was fun.
She's a really good player, and she plays quick, so that also helped a lot to keep it moving. I'm used to quick play, so I think we both kind of got in a rhythm.
Q. Do you see similarities between the two of you or the two of your games?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Yeah, she bombs it. For being 16 she hits it really far.
Q. Heading into tomorrow, finally got a round 68. Round in the 60s under your belt. How confident are you to just make a late run and get yourself in the top ten?
JENNIFER KUPCHO: We'll see. Just go out there and play my best. I mean, you never know what can happen.
Q. Go enjoy your birthday. Happy birthday.
JENNIFER KUPCHO: Thank you.
