Q. A bogey-free day, correct? How are you feeling after day one here?
AYAKA FURUE: I just feel like my bogey-free was really perfect. Like it's really perfect for me. And my shot and putt was really good. So I'm so satisfied with my playing today.
Q. This is a new course for everyone. What was it like preparing on this course, and why do you think it suits your game?
AYAKA FURUE: Actually, I didn't play anything, but I think fairway and greens are really big. So it's kind of I have to concentrate on my shot and putt, like hitting on the fairway and on the green. And then good putting is good, good speed is more important to control the speed.
Q. So very important to control the green, to figure out the greens out here.
AYAKA FURUE: Yeah.
Q. What's it like playing this event? How have you enjoyed coming to Korea this year?
AYAKA FURUE: I'm just really interested in the Korean food. I don't like spicy food, but I just won't try any of the spicy food. Yeah.
Q. What were some of the memorable birdies out there for you? What about the four in a row?
AYAKA FURUE: No. 11 is long putt, like about seven or eight meters.
Q. And that was No. 11?
AYAKA FURUE: Yeah.
Q. Did you feel like your game was clicking all day today?
AYAKA FURUE: I just had several mis-shots today, but just recovering with my great putts and great approaches. So, yeah, that makes me kind of feel confident about myself.
Q. Have you been working on the putting?
AYAKA FURUE: Just play the greens speed and, yeah, that's my kind of strategy or something, yeah.
