Q. What do you take from this final day at the BMW?
LYDIA KO: I playing really solid. I gave myself looks at birdies within like 15 feet on the front nine but I really wasn't able to come back much. Made not a silly bogey but a bogey on 7 hitting in the water. I played solid and didn't put really get anything going as much. I think I had played some of the best golf than I have in a while, three rounds in the 60s, so a lot of positives to take from this week.
Q. Is this the best you've felt in your game, or do you think about winning in February as well?
LYDIA KO: For sure. Honestly before playing in Saudi, I felt even in the practise rounds, I felt really rusty and I wasn't really sure if I was ready for this season to start. But at the same time, you want it to start because it's going to at one point.
I was able to turn on my game mode and shoot a really low score on that first day, and that was some of the best putting I've had on that first round. That kind of setup the momentum for the rest of that week, about yeah, that was really solid.
The difference between this tournament this year and last year is a couple of putts here and there. Other than that, my ball-striking was overall really good, and that's been an aspect that I've been working hard on. I feel like I've been moving in the right direction and felt like I was moving in the right direction, but the results weren't really a good reflection of that. So at least this week is a confirmation to say, hey, it's not dead yet.
Q. You go into Malaysia next week. What do you take away from these last four days as you continue this momentum?
LYDIA KO: I don't think I've played as a sponsor invite on last week our tour since I was a rookie, playing a couple of the early Asia Swing.
So it's definitely different. Even going into today, I was like, I've got nothing to lose. I'm not in the lead and I'm obviously close. Going into this week, I could have finished last or first, who knows. It was a complete potluck in ways.
So obviously a lot of good things to reflect on this week, so hopefully good momentum to Malaysia.
