Quick Quotes

Q. All right, it was a very good round today; 64 on the tougher course here. Tell me how you feel you played today.

NA RIN AN: I think the first half was good, but towards the second half I didn't play as well so I'm not as happy right now.

Q. I saw you had a bunch of birdies early.

NA RIN AN: Yeah.

Q. Still a good way to start. Any of those birdies particularly good or helpful to you today?

NA RIN AN: I think the first birdie, I would say it really kind of helped change the game around.

Q. Okay. What are your thoughts on these two golf courses? Do you play golf courses like this in Korea or are these new to you?

NA RIN AN: Yes, I've played on similar courses before, but one thing I felt was a little different is the environment, especially the grass.

Q. Okay. Bermuda grass. It's very different.

NA RIN AN: Yes.

Q. How hard is it to adjust your game to play on the bermuda grass?

NA RIN AN: I think this grass is kind of challenging, especially when making approach shots.

Q. Okay. What is your goal for tomorrow on the other course? Because you started out well, but it's a long two weeks. What are your goals for tomorrow?

NA RIN AN: I would just really like to focus on my play as much as possible.

Q. You've been successful on KLPGA. Why do you want to come over and play LPGA?

NA RIN AN: It's a tour that I've always wanted to challenge myself on playing, so this is -- it's why I'm here.

Q. Okay. Who are some of your golfing role models? Who did you look up to, like to watch growing up?

NA RIN AN: So I did start playing golf a little late, and growing up I think I really thought Na-Yeon Choi was a really cool player.

Q. When did you start playing golf then?

NA RIN AN: 15.

Q. 15, wow.

NA RIN AN: Yes.

Q. 15 is still young, but for golf that's a bit older. How old are you now? 25. So only been playing golf for ten years?

NA RIN AN: 11 years.

Q. Why did you start playing golf?

NA RIN AN: I wanted to experience a lot of different cultures and I thought that golf was fitting in that area, so it's why I started playing golf.

Q. Lots of cultures, lots of traveling.

NA RIN AN: Yes.

Q. Do you like to travel?

NA RIN AN: Yeah.

Q. What are your favorite places you've been?

NA RIN AN: Hawaii.

Q. Hawaii. I was there last month. Have you played in Hawaii or was it vacation?

NA RIN AN: Just vacation.

Q. Nice. Hopefully you can get there soon. If you come to the LPGA we play in Hawaii.

NA RIN AN: Yes.

Q. Yes. Ultimately, what would it mean to you to get here to the LPGA and prove that you can do it?

NA RIN AN: I think it would mean that I'm a step closer to getting to my dreams.

Q. Awesome. What are your dreams? I have to keep asking.

NA RIN AN: (Laughter.) Like I mentioned, I think it's experiencing different and many cultures.
