Q. So let's start today, started off with a double. In true Pauline fashion, made eight birdies to finish at 4-under. What was the mindset after the opening double?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: I guess I was just like it happens and there is still a lot of golf left, so I didn't really get mad or anything. I just, you know, kept the process.
And I was a little bit mad but not in a bad way, so it allowed me to have birdie-birdie after that double bogey.
Yeah, just same process, same mindset as happy me, crazy me.
Q. Love it. I mean, those eight birdies, in those situations when you start out kind of slow, what switch flips for you where you're like, I got to attack, I've got to make up for what I just did?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: I guess it's not about making up that double bogey, because I would guess it's the trap. So I guess I just wanted to -- you know, I know I'm playing okay, I'm happy with my game, so I just trusted that and, yeah, that's pretty much it. I didn't really overthink it.
Q. Perfect. Two more days left. You'll be fine. How excited are you for the opportunities that are going to be ahead?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: I'm not ahead right now. I'm just -- I'm literally right now trying to be in the moment right here, right now. There is still two more rounds and I will try my best. I will keep being me on the course and I will think about what's coming next later.
Q. For sure. Last question: These golf courses play quite differently. What have you found with your game that's working really well for you on a course like Highland Oaks?
PAULINE ROUSSIN-BOUCHARD: Well, I guess my game is pretty similar to last week, except that on these greens I'm very struggling with my back spin, and so I had a couple funny backspin, comes back like 20 yards back our something like that.
So I guess choosing the right area to be on the green is really key on this course. I've been playing pretty well, so it helps obviously.
