Q. So did you play college golf? If so, where?
LAUREN COX: I did. I went to the University of North Texas.
Q. Okay, and what years did you play?
LAUREN COX: Gosh, started in 2016 and then I got a COVID year, so I finished in 2021. So five years.
Q. And then do you know your career-best finish?
LAUREN COX: Like as a professional?
Q. Yeah, sure.
LAUREN COX: No.
Q. All good. Do you have any -- like what are you most proud of so far in your career?
LAUREN COX: I played 20 events last year. I would've played all of them except I was sick one week. So playing the whole season because it's a long season.
And how I finished a few weeks ago at Stage II. I finished tied 11th. In the bad weather. That was cool.
Q. Awesome. And then we can skip career-best round. Why did you decide to pursue professional golf as a career? Why are you still out here every day?
LAUREN COX: I love sport. I love to compete and learning new things about the game. But mainly my college coach really showed me that I could do it and how it's done, and gave me the dream, I guess.
Q. Awesome. And then what are your hobbies outside of golf?
LAUREN COX: I'm a runner. I like to run. I like to shop. I like to have cook. Nothing like taekwondo.
Q. Do you have a favorite store to go to?
LAUREN COX: I love Target.
Q. Of course. We love Target.
LAUREN COX: I could just walk around Target for hours.
Q. Any recipes that are your favorite to make?
LAUREN COX: Oh, no. I'm not a very good cook. But in the holidays I'll bake chocolate chip cookies or something.
Q. Last question: If you weren't a professional golfer what do you think you would be doing?
LAUREN COX: I don't know. I don't know. I have my degree in business computer information systems so something in the tech industry. Hopefully golf related still because I love the game. So, yeah.
