Q. So an 8-under round. How did it feel walking off that last green?
MADDIE SZERYK: So awesome. I was just so relieved, like, okay, it's done.
But I just, you know, kept pressing. I was 4-under, 4-under both sides, so I just tried to focus on just my game plan and not too wrapped up in the score. Just like, okay, I feel in control. I'm playing really well. Like most of my birdies were three to six feet, so it was okay, good speed; I'm hitting it well, and just calm and relaxed.
Q. And then bogey-free today.
MADDIE SZERYK: Uh-huh.
Q. How did it feel kind of just walking out mistake-free?
MADDIE SZERYK: So great. Felt like I -- 8-under you're doing pretty well with that. Didn't feel like I pressed too much and just had really great clubs coming in.
Just really relieved that it was very solid all throughout.
Q. And then obviously eight rounds total.
MADDIE SZERYK: Six to go.
Q. Long two weeks. How do you keep positive on the course but then leave it all on the course and keep positive off the course as well?
MADDIE SZERYK: Right. I think it's a hard balance. It's a weird mix with it being so many rounds. It's like, okay, one bad hole in the long scene isn't going to kill me. So just focusing on, okay, there are so many good things that can come and just trying to have a quick turnaround and not be like so angry.
I think that's what I did well today, is just I felt confident going in and you just have to leave it all out there.
