Quick Quotes

Q. Here with Isi Gabsa who make it look pretty easy today out there. Pun intended. Bogey-free, 8-under 64. I don't think anybody else saw that kind of round out there today. What was going so well?

ISI GABSA: I was hitting my irons very well and hit like them very close, made some putts. If you like shoot that low I think your irons and wedges and putting has to like kind of connect together and like work out, of course.

There wasn't much going on, like not many mistakes, and just like, yeah, pretty straightforward and simple golf. I really enjoyed it and it was fun. As always if you shoot low.

But, yeah...

Q. Seemed like all those birdies came in a hurry in like a six- or seven-hole stretch. What was going through your mind? You made a couple back to back and had a par and couple more back to back. What was going through your mind during that stretch?

ISI GABSA: I actually really don't remember. Like we were walking on I think 8 -- yeah, it was 8 on the green. My brother was like, you're like around 1-under. No, I made three birdies. He was like, where did make the three birdies at?

So we were just like both in the moment and just taking one shot at a time. I think we both don't really realize how low I was at a certain time and just kept on going.

Q. Haven't made a bogey in 28 holes. Out here that's pretty impressive. I know you're not one that recalls a lot of golf shots, but to hear that stat, where does that tell you your game is right now?

ISI GABSA: I actually didn't think about that. I mean, hitting that, it's pretty cool. I did make a really good up and down, like two actually pretty good ups and downs today back to back, so that kind of helped.

My chipping has been really good lately, and just like a good feel for the greens.

Q. You say your brother was on the bag?

ISI GABSA: Uh-huh, yes.

Q. How cool is that and how much has that helped you these last two weeks to have your brother on the bag?

ISI GABSA: It's pretty awesome. I don't see him quite a bit now. He's back in Germany and just comes over for maybe two weeks, so I really enjoy the brother-sister time out there.

We're just having a good time and chatting about things we used to do or what we're about to do on like Christmas and stuff like that. Just like keep it very simple and happy.

He exactly knows what to say and what to do in the moment. He knows me my whole life, so sometimes I need a little like get your stuff together and sometimes he's like, everything is fine and just keep on going. He knows exactly when to say what, so it's pretty cool.

Q. Is he a golfer?

ISI GABSA: He teaches in a golf course outside of Munich.

Q. Now you're leading LPGA Q-Series. What's the mindset? You're in a comfortable spot, but what are you thinking the next couple days?

ISI GABSA: Just keep on going. I feel like yesterday when I finished I had the thought of, oh, like 20 would be cool to finish today. But like now, just like trying to keep going low and low as much as I can.
