Q. Here with Valery Plata. Another really solid day out there. Clean card. Kind of looking back at your cards the last two weeks, you've kept it really clean. What was your secret today?
VALERY PLATA: I hit really, really good approach shots. Unfortunately didn't drop as many putts as I would've wanted to, but I stayed patient and just kept like having good numbers and committing to those and just hitting good shots out there.
Q. Did anything stand out in particular? Obviously three birdies on the card.
VALERY PLATA: Yeah, I mean, I had few more chances today than yesterday, and overall I think it's the best day I've hit the ball. It's just didn't make many putts today.
Again, I just stayed patient, got one to drop on 18, and it's just a great feeling to walk out and just with the birdie.
Q. We're in this position now, in a good spot, so not afraid to ask you, what would it mean to just finally have that LPGA Tour card? I'm sure it's been a life-long dream.
VALERY PLATA: Yeah, it would mean the world. Some days I'm on the golf course and I just think about it for a few seconds and I get a little emotional. I just try to get my mind off quick of that and just try to stay as present as possible and as grounded in the moment as I can.
But, yeah, it would mean the world to me. I mean, I never thought I would do it so quick. I thought it would take me like a little longer just because of the golf, where I was maybe five or six years ago.
But seeing how far I've come and just having this opportunity to maybe get a card tomorrow, it would be amazing.
Q. I know you're not going to be the only Colombian out there on tour next year. Hopefully. Mariajo Uribe, obviously somebody you've talked to. Have you reached out to her these last couple weeks or has she talked to you?
VALERY PLATA: Yeah, we're really good friends. We talk almost every day. She calls me like after every round. She's like, hey, how is it going? How are you feeling? Just checking on me. We text also.
It's really, really fun friendship and relationship, and I'm really, really grateful to her.
Q. And then just finally, we have 18 holes left here before you can finally take a breath, hold onto that card, take all the photos. What's the mindset heading into tomorrow? Obviously found something with your ball striking, so that has to give you a little bit more comfort.
VALERY PLATA: Yeah, I think it's just keeping to the same as it's been the last few days. Just sticking to my game plan and committing to my shots and staying patient. There is still 18 holes to go, so not done yet.
Yeah, just trying to stay patient and positive and do the best out there I can.
