Q. All right, Tristyn, so 2-under total. Looks like it's going to be enough to get you into Q-Series.
TRISTYN NOWLIN: Yeah.
Q. Talk about your round today. Did you know where you stood when you were coming down the stretch, what you needed to do?
TRISTYN NOWLIN: Yeah, I pretty much had an idea, especially having played here in 2021. I knew the cut was about 3-under in 2021, and I was kind of in the exact same position. I believe I was about one shot out of it; had to post a pretty good round on the last day.
And so today I told myself I'm just going to go out, do all that I can, take it one shot at a time, and I literally was just focused on one foot in front of the other.
I didn't even realize I was (wind interference) until 18 and I missed the green. (Wind interference) too. I had to make really, really good up and down.
And I hit a great chip to about three feet. Knocked it in. I think today was just about patience. The wind picked up a little bit in the afternoon, so played a little bit different.
But overall was just a lot of fun. Good group to play with as well.
Q. Talk about how your experience on the Epson helped you out this year.
TRISTYN NOWLIN: Yeah, I think tremendously. You know, I feel like pretty much all this season I've been kind of sitting around the cut line all year. There were a couple moments where I kind of let that get to me. Today I was able to let go and let it happen and say, wherever I end up, I worked hard, and wherever I end up is where I deserve to be.
So I'm excited for Q-Series.
Q. Is this your first time going to Q-Series?
TRISTYN NOWLIN: No. I went in 2021, so looking forward to it. Love the courses. Should be a lot of fun.
Q. And then I guess what's the biggest difference from a qualifying tournament compared to an Epson Tour tournament? How do they correlate and how are they different?
TRISTYN NOWLIN: I think -- I mean, here you really, really do have to -- I personally have to slow myself down. Obviously it's 72 holes, a lot of golf, but you're also never out of it. There is no cut here. In 2021 I shot 79 the first round and ended up crawling my way back.
So just staying patient and knowing anything can happen. Kiira went birdie, eagle on 13 and 14, so anything can happen. Just staying patient and in the moment.
