Q. Here with Savannah Grewal after her first round in Q-Series, first round as a professional officially. 5-under 66. How proud are you right now of yourself?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: It feels pretty good. Honestly, I'm kind of battling a cold right now so to be able to come out here and play well despite not feeling great was good.
Q. Anything specific with your game you feel like was clicking out there? Irons? Driver? Putting?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: I would say definitely my irons. I think I hit all 18 greens, so that definitely helps when you're hitting all the greens and just relying on putting. Definitely felt like my irons were solid.
Q. And was there anything going into today's round, any solid thoughts you were trying to keep up with throughout the day to remind yourself to be patient?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: I think just to enjoy the moment. It is my first tournament as a professional, so enjoy the first experience of being a professional and playing professional golf.
Staying patient and staying present. It is a long tournament, so just staying very patient.
Q. And just to give props back to Clemson, how do you think your time at Clemson has helped you prepare for this?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: Oh, my gosh, I owe so much to Clemson, our coaches, my teammates, they've all helped me develop as a person on and off the golf course, which I think has made a huge difference. Bug shout out to our coaches, Kelly Hester and Erica Popson. There are awesome and I would not be here without them.
And also our sports staff. Our mental coach, Cory Shaffer and Raz, who's our athletic trainer, and Travis, our strength coordinator. They are awesome. They've been amazing.
Q. You're top of the leaderboard after day one. How do you think your experience being near the top of the leaderboard will help you the next few days?
SAVANNAH GREWAL: I think it's just going to help me stay patient and steady, not get too far ahead of myself, and just stay where my feet are.
