Quick Quotes

Q. All right, here with another 8-under round after round three of Q-Series. What clicked out there for you?

MARIAJO URIBE: To be honest, I play pretty similar than the other days. Just some putts fell and like the mistakes weren't that big.

The whole group played really good and Kelly was actually -- Kelly Tan -- was making a lot of birdies on the front nine so I was like, okay, I need to catch up. I feel like the tournament hasn't started yet, so you just have to put yourself in position.

I'm really happy with my round, that the putts just kept rolling in. It's nice to see my golf game finally showing up.

Q. And you had a bogey on the first hole. Were you thinking anything in particular after that?

MARIAJO URIBE: No, I mean, it was just like a muddy lie and then I didn't make the putt. I was a little bit in my head because I'm over-reading them, so like the grain and everything.

So I'm like, just trust whatever you're feeling. It worked out. I actually prefer to start with a bogey than a birdie. My superstition is a birdie is bad luck, so it was okay.

I know there is a lot of birdies out there. We used to play a tournament here and I always went low here, too. I like this course.

So stay on the good side on the Falls Course. It's kind of the new course for me this week. Hopefully have good couple rounds coming up.

Q. The tournament when it was here, what course...

MARIAJO URIBE: Crossings. Yeah, yeah, so that's one of the whole reasons I came, because it's a course that I know, I've played good, and I have good memories from it.

It was one of my first tournaments on tour because my rookie year was at the beginning. It's kind of nice to be back, to have good weather, and hopefully I stay on that path.

Q. And you certainly got the ball rolling on the back nine; the front nine, six birdies. They just kept rolling? What were you thinking there?

MARIAJO URIBE: Yeah, a couple of good shots, couple of good, close putts, and then, yeah, like I said, I wasn't changing my ball. I usually change my ball after nine holes, but then I kept making birdies and I'm like, okay, the first par I'll change it.

Once I made the par on 5 I think, which stay like right on the cup. But, yeah, I think just stay patient and it's one of those days that things are going your way, so I wish we would've played 36 holes today.

Q. We talked earlier in the week and you mentioned saying this week is like one big push, one big last push. You had one big push up the leaderboard.

MARIAJO URIBE: Yeah, yesterday was hard, staying home and I know my that my kid is back home and I'm here doing nothing and I couldn't even practice. I was like, if I'm not going to be here let's make it a good one.

Yeah, like I say, stay patient. I think that's what I'm going to bring this week, like the experience. We been out here for so long. We know things can change in one round, in one hole.

So staying patient. Like I said, we're only halfway through, so I just got to stay in the present, enjoy it, and see what happens.
