Q. Here with Danielle Kang, a player who has consistently played well here over the last few years. Two top 10s in your last two starts, and another solid 69 here today. What have you found is the key to playing well here?
DANIELLE KANG: I am from Southern California, so I do know how to putt on poa greens. Like Inbee said, don't take it personally and just getting the speed down.
Just excited to be back in California. I think a lot of the hilly undulation is what we're really good at growing up.
Q. Speaking of California, it's the first of two back-to-back weeks here as we get ready for the Chevron Championship next week just two hours away. How do you approach the week before a major championship here?
DANIELLE KANG: I don't know if this would be a good thing to say, but I'm using this week as a practice a little bit for next week. There are still some parts of my game that I want to tune up, and I want to go in next week really confident.
Not quite there yet, and kind of utilizing this week a bit trying to figure things out. Even on the par-5 I probably should not have hit that kind of chip, but I need to know how it's going to come out, how it's going to react, things like that. That's how I'm preparing.
Q. You've had an incredible start to the season. Four Top 10s; obviously that win at the season opener. How would you describe your start to the year overall?
DANIELLE KANG: I believe that it's solid, consistent. I didn't play as well as I wanted to over in Asia. There was still a lot of short game little gimmicks out there.
And I'm coming back to out of bermuda and back to poa, so having some adjusting period. I'm really excited where my game is headed. And it's a long year. I'm just trying to keep up with a lot of the players out here, and we got some great players that are playing well.
I want to keep playing well, too.
