Q. Here with Pia Babnik after a pretty solid start to your week here at The Chevron Championship; a 2-under 70 to kick the week off. How good are you feeling about that performance?
PIA BABNIK: Well, I'm really happy with today's game. I played good, so the result comes by itself.
Q. Have you played a lot golf in the States? I know you play primarily on the LET. Have you been to California much?
PIA BABNIK: No, this is my first time here, but I play last year in New York.
But I mostly now going to play on LET.
Q. Okay. Being out here, playing California golf, it's a little bit different than what you're used to. How big of an adjustment was it to get ready for this major championship?
PIA BABNIK: Well, it wasn't so much because 14 days ago we played in Saudi, so it was similar weather, just there was more wind; the temperature was similar.
So, yeah, it wasn't -- but we came a week before, so I had a lot of time to prepare, to adjust the time difference.
So, yeah.
Q. Are you a player that likes these kind of firm, fast conditions? Is this something you're pretty comfortable with?
PIA BABNIK: It's actually -- it's not that firm. On the fairway the ball is not rolling as much.
But, yeah, it's really good course, in great condition, so it's enjoyable to play.
Q. Here on an exemption and playing so well on the LET, how good does it feel to be -- is this your first Chevron Championship?
PIA BABNIK: Yes.
Q. How cool is it to be here, to see all the history? There are a lot of past champions, Hall of Famers walking around, seeing Poppie's Pond. What's it been like being here this week?
PIA BABNIK: Yeah, it's great to be here. I'm really happy that I made it to here, so I'm just going to enjoy it being here and try to play good.
Q. What positives will you carry with you from today into the rest of the week?
PIA BABNIK: Well, I'm just going to try to play the same as I did today. Hit on the fairway, hit on the green, and then make opportunities.
That's it.
