Q. A 7-under day today. How are you feeling after Day 2? Take me through what was working so well out there.
A LIM KIM: Today's condition is good and my tee shot is good and second is good and the putting is good. Yeah, that's simple.
Q. What were you working on specifically heading into this major?
A LIM KIM: I work on 130-yard inside pitch shot or greenside -- 40-yard inside green area practice, and then six-yard inside putting. That's it.
Q. Did you think a 7-under round was out there today?
A LIM KIM: Yes.
Q. Why?
A LIM KIM: Because my condition is really good. Everything is already.
Q. How comfortable are you feeling in your game in this moment?
A LIM KIM: That's normal, not special today.
Q. An impressive amount of birdies. Take me through some of the highlights out there in your eyes.
A LIM KIM: I already forgot. I don't know.
Q. You had quite a good back nine, which was the first nine holes. What was working so well on those holes?
A LIM KIM: I think front is more easier, more than the back nine.
Q. You closed with two birdies. Walk me through those last two birdies.
A LIM KIM: It was pretty good. That's it.
Q. Walk me through a little bit of the decisions and the shots that you had on that hole.
A LIM KIM: I worked with the best caddie, so he worked hard. Really good for me.
Q. Is there anything you worked on in your game over the off-season?
A LIM KIM: Work hard, work out, and then a lot of practice. Yes, just simple. That's it.
Q. Was there any part of your game in particular you focused on in your practice?
A LIM KIM: Yeah, 130 yard inside play and then greenside play and then six yard inside putting. That was it.
Q. Why did you focus on those during the off-season compared to anything else?
A LIM KIM: My driver so far, and then I needed more high percent get it on, so I work on that.
Q. How did you see that work pay off on the course today?
A LIM KIM: Not yet. Before I practiced really good. I wait now.
Q. You're one of the longer hitters out here. How is your driving distance helping you here at Carlton Woods?
A LIM KIM: Yes, my driver first shot carry 255 or 260, but I can control every shape and every trajectory. Sometimes came storm or windy, the more control easy for me now.
Q. What is it that you like so much about playing here in Houston?
A LIM KIM: Houston? I don't know. Houston really great city and great feel. I love that, everything.
Q. Why do you think you play so well here?
A LIM KIM: Honestly, really, I don't know. I don't know that.
Q. Are you surprised to be in this position in a major again in the same city? It's kind of ironic, don't you think?
A LIM KIM: Fantastic.
Q. You talk very confidently about your game. Where does that come from, that confidence that you have in yourself and in your game?
A LIM KIM: I believe in my ability and in my practice and my team. Yeah, they're really helpful for me.
Q. You've won majors in some adverse weather conditions and delays. How do you handle all of that so well?
A LIM KIM: I'm not thinking about weather because every player same place and the same time, the same weather, so it doesn't -- I'm not thinking about that.
