Q. 5-under total on the day here today. I know this was kind of a whirlwind with the delay and everything. Take me through what the second day was like for you.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, hit the ball really solid and just had some putts go in, was playing with Megan and Janet, both of them are really sweet. I've known Megan for a long time, so just had a lot of fun out there today.
Q. I know you and Megan are quite close. What was it like having her in the grouping for the last two days?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: She's just so much fun. She has so much energy. Anyone who meets her knows how social she is, and I think it's just really comforting to have someone so familiar in my group with me.
Q. Just with the mentality of the two-hour delay, how did you stay focused and grind through knowing that you wanted to finish today?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think luckily we weren't at the course when the delay happened. I think it's always a lot harder when you're stuck at the course and the delay happens, so just got to relax at the hotel. On the last few holes we were joking about it, like play as fast as we can, play as well as we can, get the ball in the hole.
Q. Take me through some of the birdies out there today. It was more scorable this afternoon once the sun was out. How did you feel the course set up for you today?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I think a couple of the yardages that I struggled with yesterday like holding greens or whatever when they were downwind, the wind kind of flipped, so into the wind was able to hold a few more greens. Just hit the ball a little better overall today, as well, and then yeah, had some really close looks at birdie.
Q. What's it like being in -- I know it's only after day two, but seeing your name creep up there on the leaderboard and knowing that scores are out there?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, I love how the course sets up. It looks really good to me. I'm just really excited for the weekend.
Q. There's going to be a little bit of breathing time tomorrow. How will you refocus going into the weekend?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Really just try to get some rest, keep focusing on the same things that I've been working on, and yeah, try to keep playing the same way.
Q. Just a gentle reminder of you and Megan's relationship, how that friendship came to be and that mentorship in the same vein?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, we met when we were eight at the U.S. kids. Our kids just started chatting, I think, and I think we were paired together later that week. Just kept in contact with her year after year and just kind of saw her through the summertime playing junior golf tournaments. Obviously we chose two different paths. I went to college and she turned pro, but she's just been so helpful last year for my rookie year, and any kind of questions that I've had, she's been there to help me.
Q. What's it like to also have a group -- she's going off birdie central, you're going off birdie central. What's it like to play off each other or are you just focused shot by shot?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: I think it helps the energy in the group when everyone is playing well. You never want to see someone struggle, especially if it's someone you like a lot, so definitely helpful to see her make some birdies and try to keep up.
Q. I know she can be kind of funny on the course. Did she say anything to you to keep the ball rolling?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: We pretty much chat about everything. She's the best.
