GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, definitely. It's quite a simple tee shot to be honest with you. I thought I could clear the trees quite easily, and as it was coming down it clipped a branch, so unfortunately had to lay up. But I still could have got birdie. Oh, well.
Q. (Inaudible.)
GEORGIA HALL: Really happy. To be honest on Friday and Saturday I didn't have my "A" game at all. It was just quite average. To be coming off the course hopefully with maybe a top 10 is a really strong final round when the pins were at their trickiest and the conditions were quite cold. Just, again, really happy with my game and how I've played this week, and I must say it is a really good major golf course.
I would love to win a major this year. Some really good venues, Walton Heath and Pebble Beach for the U.S. Open and that's kind of like links, so really looking forward to that one. But I just want to keep putting myself in contention and in position to win, and hopefully one will come along soon.
We had a 50-minute today because of thunder and a bit of rain. It was freezing this morning. I wish I had had hand warmers, which I didn't have with me. It was that cold. The ball wasn't going as far, and the conditions -- the pins were very tucked today. They were tough, especially on the back nine. It's very hard to get birdies and actually hole like a 30-, 35-footer. Yeah, it's great final day pins, and it's just great conditions because it's tough and you've got to think your way around.
I wasn't looking too much at the top guys, to be honest, so I'm not quite sure who's up there. But I think obviously Nelly is the biggest name up there. She won a major before. Yeah, with the back nine to go you'd probably put money on her to win.
She's a great player, and obviously has played well for quite a while now and quite young. Yeah, you've just got to be mentally quite strong this back nine, so I'll be interested to see who wins.
I don't think any better than 10-under, definitely. At the best, I think, yeah, because I hit it fairly far, and I still had 5-, 6-irons -- I had a 3-wood into the 11th hole today, par-4, and I hit it fairly far, so I think it's quite tough.
It's nice to play courses like this. I always say I like them to be a little bit longer, and it's what major championships should be about.
I'm playing the next three events. I've got the team event in two weeks' time, the UL Crown, so I can't let the team down with Charley, Bronte and Jodi, and it would be silly for me to go back to England for one week to then fly to San Fran. I'd be home for about five days. I'm going to play in the LA event next week, but I won't be turning up until like Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. I'm going to take a day and a half off.
Last year I played two lots of five weeks in a row, so it's not actually any different because this time is five weeks, as well, and when I get home, I have two weeks off, I come out for one and then back home for a week. It's not really that different for me. I'm just starting the five weeks a little bit earlier than normal in my schedule just because of the way the events lie.
Q. Take us through the day. It looks like the best round of the day after the double.
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, very up and down, especially on the front nine. I had a four-putt, ended up in two divots, and I also holed a really good putts especially coming in. It's a bit of a mix, but very happy with the way I played today.
Q. What were the things you struggled with this week that you want to work on?
GEORGIA HALL: I mean, I struggled with my putting on Friday and Saturday, and I really sorted it out today. I would say I need to practice that, but I was very happy with the way it went.
Just keep contending and keep being up there on the leaderboard.
Q. I heard you say earlier that it was actually -- you really enjoyed the course. Can you talk about why you think it's worked out for you this week?
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, when I first came here, to be honest, I wasn't sure, but then as I've played every day, it's really grown on me, and I think it's really, really good major championship golf course. I think it's really tough, and I've heard that they're going to improve the conditions for next year, and I think when they do that, it will just be one of the best courses we play on, and just really excited to be here for the next few years.
Q. You've had a good week.
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, really good week. I think the course was great, as well.
Q. We're trying to assess the level of the Europeans based on what happened here this week. It doesn't look bad at all.
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, I think we're going to have a really strong team. I think we're going to have the strongest team on paper this time, which it's been a while since we were back, and also a few rookies. I think it will be a younger team and we'll have a few experienced still in there, but I think it'll be a good team, yeah.
Q. How much do you think about that in a week like this? Are you looking around to see who's doing well?
GEORGIA HALL: Yeah, for sure, and I know Suzann is definitely. We're all trying to do well to improve her to get in the team.
Q. You're looking at all the young ones, how they're doing?
GEORGIA HALL: I feel really old. I'm still young, just...
