ALLISEN CORPUZ:
Q. Here with Allisen Corpuz; solid start to your week here at Palos Verdes Golf Club. 3-under 68. The college event that was here, the Northrup Grumman Regional Challenge, these are more the conditions you're used to playing in. Did it feel familiar out there?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, definitely. A lot of the tees are pretty similar as well. The par-3s are a bit different and there is a couple of par-4s that are pushed back.
But the wind kind of calmed down and it was nice to get fresh greens, be the first group out there today.
It felt really comfortable.
Q. Take us through some highlights out there with that 3-under.
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, made two birdies in a row on 3 and 4, and then picked up another two on 7 and 9. Just a really solid back nine.
Played well on the front as well, but I think just a few less birdie opportunities on the back.
Q. With this kind of cold, wet, windy conditions, is the poana upping the greens right now?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Right now I think we were lucky that we were the first group and it was pretty nice. Saw a couple of bumps towards the end, but they are also really receptive to approach shots, which I think was really helpful.
Q. With the greens so receptive that probably means the fairways are a little bit softer. Are you noticing some stuff on your carries?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, there were a couple out there that didn't fly as far as I wanted to, but I think we got the downwind for the last few holes, which helped a lot.
Q. Heading into the rest of the week, good solid round to get your confidence up. Obviously coming off two Top 20s. Where is your confidence level heading into the rest of the week here?
ALLISEN CORPUZ: Yeah, my game feels really solid right now. It feels like I've kind of worked on what I needed to from Wilshire, and just really hoping to put up some solid rounds.
