Q. All right, here with Nasa Hataoka after day one at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Just take me through what was working so well out there.
NASA HATAOKA: I was able to make good birdie chances, and my putting good, too.
Q. You were bogey-free on your back nine. Did you have to get into a rhythm or what was working well on that back nine?
NASA HATAOKA: I actually one bogey back nine.
Q. Oh, yes, one bogey.
NASA HATAOKA: Any other hole I good chances.
Q. A lot of birdies on the back nine. What were some of the highlights for you?
NASA HATAOKA: I only hit one bad tee shot. My iron shot --
(Through translation.) My shots really got to the pins, so I was able to get the birdies.
Q. Three birdies in a row from 14 to 16. What was working so well there?
NASA HATAOKA: My irons distance control was really good.
Q. This is a new course for everyone. How many tee shots were you able to take before you tee'd it up today?
NASA HATAOKA: Only 18 holes.
Q. Okay. What do you like most about this new course?
NASA HATAOKA: I think I was able to be able to control, manage the course. It's not very long, so I was able to do the 3-woods really well.
So I think that's what it is.
Q. What will you take from day one as you head into day two?
NASA HATAOKA: Nothing change.
Q. How comfortable were you feeling in your game as you headed into this week?
NASA HATAOKA: I still do need to adjust my tee shots, but other than that, my iron and putting is good. I just have to keep that going.
