Q. All right, here with Anna Davis. Just joking about it, it was a 6-under 66. I mean, what a day. Your lowest round out here on the LPGA Tour. Just walk me through your round.
ANNA DAVIS: It was a good day. Just like everything just went well today for the most part. But, yeah, I was just striking it well, putting it well, so...
Q. What hole specifically stood out for you? Was there a birdie or anything that captured your attention?
ANNA DAVIS: Not really. They were all just pretty simple. Hit the fairway, hit the green. I didn't make very many long putts. I was hitting it like five to ten feet and then would make it, so...
Q. What clubs were you having in on those shots? Obviously I know the golf course is still playing a little bit long out there with how wet it is.
ANNA DAVIS: Uh-huh. I think my birdies were mostly -- I had a chip-in birdie on the last hole, so that was a nice way to end the round.
They were mostly like wedge shots. I think -- yeah, it was mostly like wedge shots, like 30 yards or like -- I have to think. I don't remember the holes I birdied to be quite honest with you.
Yeah, but they were mostly like shots, like my 58 degree, so pretty short shots.
Q. What changed today? Not that you didn't play great yesterday, but just got something rolling today. What was different? Was it because you were having more wedges in your hand?
ANNA DAVIS: No. I think it was more like mental, just more confident over the ball today. Like on every shot made sure I kind of trusted what I was doing, so that was mainly it.
Q. Another made cut on the LPGA Tour, but now your lowest round since making starts out here. 6-under is pretty dang low. What's that like?
ANNA DAVIS: Uh-huh. I mean, it's finally nice to shoot a pretty low number. I have been waiting to have a really good round, so it's nice.
Q. Were you trying to attack pins more today? I know some players will have a meh first round and then just kind of go for it. Was that kind of your attitude?
ANNA DAVIS: Yeah, I was just like, okay, I have nothing to lose so I might as well go for every pin or risky line, so that's kind of where I was at today.
Q. Heading into the weekend, right now T20; obviously going to change a little bit; some golf out there yet to play. Being near the top or even near the middle of the pack, how excited are you for the weekend and what are you looking forward to?
ANNA DAVIS: I'm very excited. It's like kind of nice. I don't think -- I'm not very in contention, but kind of finally up there on the leaderboard a little bit, so it'll be nice to see if I can keep climbing the leaderboard on the weekend.
Q. Did you learn anything today that you think will help you on Saturday and Sunday shoot another low number?
ANNA DAVIS: Yeah. I think kind of just like have more confidence in what I'm doing, and then along with the course, I think you just benefit more by attacking pins, and so I'll try to do that on the weekend.
