Q. Here with Marina Alex. Nice little 67 on Sunday. Bogey-free.
MARINA ALEX: Yep.
Q. Two birdies in a row on the front, three birdies in a row on the back. Just walk me through those birdie hole stretches.
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, I got to think for a second. I kind of remember the back nine, but the front nine is a little bit of blur.
Can you remind me what holes I birdied?
Q. Yeah. 4 and 5 so par-5, par-4.
MARINA ALEX: Okay. Still not...
Q. All good. No worries. Walk me through the back at least.
MARINA ALEX: Yes, the back, I hit a great shot on 12 and I just like missed my mark by a yard. I wasn't able to go for the green in two so I laid up to a wedge number, and I just wanted to kind of like land it two yards on. It was actually a really good pin today. And I just missed it by a foot so it stayed on the front fringe.
But I made a great putt. The next hole was another really tough hole location. I hit it to about 30 feet, pin high right; made a great putt there.
And another probably 20-footer from behind the flag on the par-3. So I just got it rolling with the putter. Felt good.
And then 15, 16, 17, 18, didn't hit great irons on 15 and 16, but made pars.
17 and 18, you're kind of just looking to make pars. Those are tough finishing holes, so I was happy with the way I finished.
Q. This kind of round, heading into rest of the season, don't have very many events left, especially stateside.
MARINA ALEX: Yes.
Q. What's a round like this -- obviously won earlier this season, but what does a round like this do for your confidence?
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, it's good. I'm in the middle of a four-week stretch, so week two, and I'm playing Portland next week. Really excited to go back to Columbia.
And then Arkansas, I love that golf course and that place. So it feels good. I'm kind of like right in the thick of it, and hoping to have another two solid weeks before taking a little bit of time off.
Q. How does your game feel? We talked about it at Palos Verdes.
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, you know, it's funny. I took three weeks off leading into this. I didn't go to Canada, mainly because it was just hard to pick and choose at this point what tournaments to play.
Old me can't do like five or six in a row, so we need to be strategic.
So, yeah, I was a little rusty in Toledo. I had some good stuff but then I had some I-haven't-competed-in-a-while feelings.
So it's nice to get into a groove and carry that into the next couple weeks. I feel like just work on the little things that I've been doing, but I don't really feel like I need to overhaul anything or I'm not -- it feels nice to not be searching for stuff.
Golf is very up and down. That could change tomorrow, truthfully. But I'm trying to preserve the good feelings.
Q. New event this year.
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, it's a great event, yeah.
Q. Just assess the week and...
MARINA ALEX: Yeah, first off, like the greens crew and everyone here has done an unbelievable job because it absolutely dumped Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday and the course was, I mean, under water.
So to get us where we are and we're going to complete 72 holes is fantastic.
The greens are great. They really firmed out. The layout is nice. It would be really cool to see what it would've been like a little bit drier. I think the course would've really been even more challenging than it is.
But we're looking forward to next year. Hopefully a little bit -- the weather cooperates leading into it more. It's a great course.
