Q. All right, here with Linnea Strom after the first round at the Kroger Queen City Championship. Great round today.
LINNEA STROM: Thank you.
Q. Just one bogey out there. Can you walk us through the birdies you had out there?
LINNEA STROM: I think I played pretty steady. I gave myself a lot of chances out there, and I kind of had a mindset today to just try and make as many birdies as possible.
I do feel like this course suits my game fairly well. If I'm hitting my wedges good there are lots of opportunities out there.
And I also putted well today. Holed a longer birdie putt on No. 8, the par-3.
Then I managed to chip in on 10, so that was kind of a bonus.
Yeah, I'm very happy with my round today.
Q. And you said you really like the conditions out here. Is there anything specific about the course, greens, fairways that suits your eye specifically?
LINNEA STROM: I kind of feel like some of the tee shots the bunkers kind of frames the hole a little bit. I mean, it is pretty wide and normally I don't like when the course gets too wide. I kind of want something specific to aim at.
I feel like the fairway bunkers kind of helped me with that. I can see the shot that I want to hit.
And I mean, it's not playing very long so the front nine there is not too many drives. I'm hitting a lot of 3-woods off the tees.
But, yeah, I think it's a fun course to play. It was actually a little bit more firm today as well compared to how it played the last couple days.
